Manufacturer: MAXXIS, TW A good rolling tire with a deep tread pattern, combining the best features of a lamellar and studded tire, developed and produced at the request of the Finns for the fickle weather of the Nordic winter. The 100 steel alloy studs, installed in a single row on each side, only sound in corners, when pedaling forcefully uphill or at lower tire pressures than they actually need. When driving straight, you can enjoy silence. Therefore, the studs also last longer. Their summer-stronger rubber compound is also more wear-resistant, while the deep pattern at the same time ensures lamellar grip on hard-surfaced roads even when slippery and also provides excellent grip on softer surfaces. We recommend choosing the softer lamellar rubber compound of the more expensive Suomi Tyres, Continental, Schwalbe lamellar and studded tires in the case of studded and lamellar tires with lower patterns. The pattern is airy enough not to collect too much snow in the pattern, except when rolling in wet, packing snow.
